The Company was born in 1998, at the begining it was integrated by GEORGINA CICCIO
"LA COMINO" flamenco dancer, RODRIGO GODOY guitarist and NICOLAS CICCIO in caja. Inspired by Georgina´s and Rodrigo´s travelling experience throughout Andalucía. ZYRYAB is the expression both most pure flamenco roots and the development of the new contemporany flamenco trends. Their first performances took place in different theatres and "tablaos" in Buenos Aires, later on in Mexico and Spain. In the permanent guest of keeping this rich and spontaneus art, ZYRYAB develops the pure flamenco spirit...

  
 

El grupo debe su nombre al persa ALI IBN MUHAMMAD,
más conocido como ZYRYAB (en persa "el que hace oro" ),
que fue el músico y cantante más famoso de Bagdag en el siglo IX.
España debe a ZYRYAB su música más característica: el flamenco.
El fundió los estilos de canto árabe-persa e hindú,
en un nuevo estilo llamado cante hondo.
Las ragas indias, los lamentos árabes son el sustrato musical
de las soleáres y següirillas, ritmos madres del flamenco.

Feria de las Cruces. Mercedes Amaya´s Company. . .
She attended to the Bienal de Flamenco Sevilla
She performances in several theaters
and tablaos showing
her pure style on a multitude of stages

He is in the new flamenco guitar creation tendencies. He performances in several
theaters and tablaos.

He recorded productions for Sony and the artistic production of Zyryab´s CD – Quiso Flamenco

 

In the year 2000,
They record the first: Zyryab´s CD
quiso flamenco

2001: when they came back from Spain, they introduced A new show:
ZYRYAB "Flamenco 2001"

In 2002 the EL MINISTERIO DE RELACIONES EXTERIORES. COMERCIO INTERNACIONAL Y CULTO
gave the AUSPICIO INSTITUCIONAL AWARD TO Zyryab Company.

In January of 2003, they traveled to Mexico and they became part of Mestizaje Company.

At the end of 2003 and the early of 2004 the Company performed in the auditorio the Bs As Argentina.

2004 - 2005 they joined Mercedes Amayas´s Company which participated in Mexican festivals.

the following year, 2006 the company toured for the Mexican country in important
theaters an tablaos such as Gitanerias.

In the year 2007 they performed the new show “Recuerdos de España” Tearto Ciudadela
- Galerias Pachuca - Tablao Hiapano - Tula -Hotel Villa Sol Puerto Escondido
- Plaza Loreto - Foro Lenin

In 2008 they  made participation in TV shows such as World of beasts TELEVISA
- La Academia TV Azteca and are presented as the leading company in the Mosaic of Cultures Festival.

During 2009:  work in Avila House, Festival of Hispanic Real de Catorce Expo Vinos y Bodegas,
Women Expo, T-Gallery and the presentation of the CD Rogo Noches de Rumba.

Continue their presentations during 2010:  Tablao  "The Cave Rociera", 
Peña Flamenca and important  festivals such as FAOT Sonora and  Guitar Festival Salamanca.
